Saratoga's meet runs six weeks, and Alabama weekend is its crescendo. The Grade 1 Alabama Stakes — one of American racing's oldest races, run at the Spa since 1872 — is the defining test for the country's best three-year-old fillies, and it draws a card and a crowd that match the occasion. By late August the meet is winding toward its close, the competition has sharpened, and Saratoga carries the particular energy of something that knows it's ending. There is no better time to be there.
We open Friday evening with dinner at Solevo — the group convenes, the Alabama card gets its preview, and the weekend finds its footing. Saturday is a full day at the track starting with watching workouts and a backstretch tour in the morning, with a STABLE suite for the card, racing context and commentary throughout, and the Alabama Stakes as the centerpiece. Saturday night moves to a table at the Horseshoe before heading into downtown. Sunday morning we'll enjoy brunch and recap the weekend - it's the right way to close it out.
Members and prospective members are both welcome. Travel and lodging are self-arranged. This is the final stretch of the Saratoga meet — hotel rooms go fast, so book early.

Goodbye Brunch
Join the group for a goodbye brunch to debrief on the weekend's activities, celebrate our (hopeful) winning bets, and begin to get excited about having weekends like these in NYC with the new Belmont Park in September.
For those who would like to stay in Saratoga during the day Sunday and go to the races, please let James know and we can work on more informal hospitality options for those who will stay in town for a bit longer.
